Two Scrapbook Friends began, innocently enough, with a driveway conversation between two across-the-street neighbours. Carolyn and Joanne, both stay-at home moms, had become close friends in a short time due to their shared hobby of scrapbooking. Carolyn, the more outgoing of the two, began telling other neighbours about this fabulous new hobby and soon a group of friends started to meet on a regular basis to scrapbook. Towards the end of the summer, as they stood on Joanne's driveway, Carolyn suggested they do "something more" with their hobby. Maybe they could share this amazing craft and their growing passion with even more women! Joanne, who was quite content with her current life, thought, "Sure, why not?" Little did she realize how much her life would change! In September of 2002, they held their first workshop with 8 friends in attendance. By the third workshop this number grew to 16 and they knew there was no looking back. Two Scrapbook Friends had been born! Joanne and Carolyn continued to share their love of scrapbooking with others through regular workshops and crops. For the next three years they borrowed space outside their home to hold the growing number of scrapbook friends that joined them. As it became more and more difficult to service the increasing number of customers and to maintain the small retail portion of their business in their borrowed space, the two friends began to look at the possiblity of opening a full-service retail store. As fate would have it, a new plaza was being built only minutes from their home. It turned out to be the perfect location and in October of 2005, the doors to their new store opened! Their prayers had been answered and their dream had come true, thanks to the support of their family and many scrapbooking friends. Carolyn and Joanne have been truly blessed in their venture. Each day friends, old and new, meet in their store to shop, learn, create and inspire others as they preserve life's memories. When you look at life one page at a time, you realize how many special moments each day holds. You realize how important it is to treasure each and every day and to preserve those special memories through scrapbooking. The Two Scrapbook Friends look forward to many more years of sharing their love of scrapbooking with others.
